The  Society  is  indebted  to  the  generosity  of  Mr.  Wm.  T. 
Evans  for  a prize  of  $300.00,  the  conditions  being  that  it  shall 
be  awarded  by  the  Jury  of  Selection  for  the  most  meritorious 
water  color  in  the  exhibition  painted  in  this  country  by  an 
American  artist,  without  limit  as  to  age  ; the  recipient  of  the 
prize  to  be  thereafter  ineligible.
